Avoid drilling holes in your floor pan! This accessory plate bolts into the factory seat mounting holes on the right side (passenger) of 1990-2005 Miatas, and provides a nice flat and stable surface to mount any number of items commonly added to race cars that don’t normally have easy mounting solutions otherwise.

Drilling through the floorpan is not ideal for a number of reasons; most items require a flat surface to be mounted to, but the factory floorpan isn’t flat, it has ridges and indentations, and it can be surprisingly hard to find flat areas all where you need them to mount things to. There’s also a frame rail under the car running down the middle of the floor, so sometimes the exact spot where you need to put a mounting hole in the floor ends up being inside the frame rail where you can’t get to the other side to put a nut. And if you do get through all that without giving up, then you have the joy of needing to get one arm underneath the car to get a tool on the nut to tighten it while you try to hold another tool inside the car to keep the bolt from spinning. It’s a ton of fun. Oh, and after all that, if you need to change the position of something or change up what parts you have mounted, you’re left with permanent holes in the floor of your car.

Avoid ALL of that nonsense and elevate your build with this accessory plate. It provides plenty of space to mount several items to a nice flat surface, and you can remove the plate from the vehicle to mount everything up or to service one of the items, and it just removes and installs back into the car as one assembly with the four factory bolts.

Made from lightweight aluminum with a brushed surface, and designed with strengthening ribs on each side to add rigidity to the mounting surface. The design also helps damp vibrations that may be traveling through the chassis to protect electronics that you have mounted to the plate.
